Kelowna Fruit-N-Veggies has expanded again this season with a new family-fun attraction. Last season the farm south of Orchard Park Mall on Cooper Road expanded to include Kelowna’s largest corn maze and this year they added a potato cannon. The business is best known for its fruits and vegetables, but hopes the new fun will get the whole family outside. The fruit stand features a variety of fruits and vegetables, including their famous corn. “The corn maze is five acres and features a farm scene investigation, so it’s like a clue game for someone who made it. There are six posts that are hidden throughout the maze and you have to go through all the paths and find see where they are and then you have a hole that you punch under your cue card and it’s just by process of elimination that you find out who killed Farmer Joe,” junior partner Dominique Coulombe said. Residents can also enjoy a half-acre sunflower maze ride. The potato cannon will open to the public on Friday. Tennis balls are fired from the cannon to aim at multiple targets on the court.
