Drivers in Kelowna’s Glenmore area will experience some delays during night paving next week. From Monday to Thursday, paving will take place in Glenmore overnight, causing delays and some closures. On the nights of September 5, 7 and 8, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., paving will take place on Glenmore Street between Begbie Street and 100 meters north of John Hindle Drive. Traffic will be single lane, alternating only. And on the evening of September 7, the intersection of John Hindle Drive and Glenmore Road will be completely closed. And on the evening of September 6, Kane Road will be fully closed between Glenmore Road and Valley Road. “Motorists should plan to use an alternate route when accessing this area,” the City of Kelowna said in a news release. “Only residents living on the affected streets will be allowed through the work zone. Businesses on Kane Street are still accessible from Glenmore Road and Drysdale Blvd during the road closure.” About 10.5 kilometers of road will emerge across the city in 2022 as the City of Kelowna works to improve roads.
