Why it matters: Barr was once considered a Trump ally while serving as attorney general during his 2019-2020 administration. What he said: “Bill Barr had no ‘guts’ and he had ‘no glory.’ He was a weak and pathetic RINO, so afraid of censure that he became a captive of the Radical Left Democrats,” Trump wrote Friday night in a TruthSocial post, saying Barr is a “Republican in name only.”

“Barr never fought the way he should have for electoral integrity, and so much more. He started out OK as AG, but faded quickly – He had no guts or stamina. People like this will never make America great again!” the former president wrote.

Flashback: Barr told Fox News Friday night that the Justice Department had every right to search Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property because there was no “legitimate reason” for Trump to keep classified documents there.

“I can’t think of a legitimate reason why they should have been — they could get away from the government, away from the government if they were classified,” Barr told Fox News. “Honestly, I am skeptical of this claim [Trump] declassified everything.”
