Merseyside Police shared a clip of a man with short hair in a bright jacket, appealing for anyone who saw him or knows his name to come forward. “We believe she may have important information that could help us catch her killer,” the force said on Twitter. Officers also revealed that two guns were used in the shooting, in which Cheryl Korbel’s mother and the gunman’s target, Joseph Nee, were both injured. The nine-year-old girl was killed after being shot by the masked intruder who had chased Nee into Olivia’s family home on Kingsheath Avenue in the Dovecot area at around 10pm on Monday 22 August. Separate CCTV previously released shows who police believe is the gunman who ran from the scene. A service for the nine-year-old will be held in Liverpool on September 15, according to a statement from the funeral director. “The family has asked everyone to wear a splash of pink,” said the message on the Debbie Bennett Funeral Directors website. “Olivia will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. “Funeral at St Margaret Mary’s Church, Pilch Lane, Dovecot on September 15th at 11am, followed by private burial.” The church, next door to her school, held a vigil for Olivia on Wednesday. At Saturday’s Merseyside derby match between Liverpool and Everton, the crowd gave Olivia a standing ovation after nine minutes.
