Leon Bailey earned Aston Villa a hard-earned point after canceling out Erling Haaland’s 10th goal of the season in a thrilling 1-1 draw at Villa Park.
City had taken the lead through Haaland, who continued his fine run by scoring his tenth of the season after just six games, opening the scoring in the 49th minute after a superb cross from Kevin de Bruyne.
But Jamaica international Bailey equalized for the hosts 25 minutes later, converting from Jacob Ramsey’s cross past Ederson, who will be disappointed not to do better.
Steven Gerrard probably answered many questions about his future at Aston Villa with a very creditable draw against City.
