The minister was responding to recent concerns raised by Atlantic premiers, including Premier Andrew Furey, about the impact on residents if the federal government goes ahead with plans to raise carbon taxes again. O’Regan says the solutions aren’t easy, but he knows the rising costs are affecting everyone. “Trying to strike a balance isn’t always easy,” says O’Regan, “but I’m sure when the Atlantic prime ministers come out and say something, the Prime Minister always listens.”
