A wildfire has sparked outside of Lytton. The BC Wildfire Service is responding to the Lower Arthur Seat wildfire located roughly 20 kilometres northeast of Lytton, a town that’s been devastated by wildfires the last couple of years. The fire is approximately four hectares in size and is classified as out of control at this point in time. The BCWS Twitter page says airtankers are responding with helicopters and ground personnel en route. It’s burning at a rank 3, meaning an organized flame front and occasional candling with a moderate rate of speed. The fire is expected to be human caused. More updates to come.
