Around 2:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the 900 block of 67 Avenue SW for reports of a break and enter and aggravated assault. From the preliminary investigation it appears that there was an altercation between the owner of the house and another person which resulted in his serious injury. The injured man was taken to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition. Police said they have not yet been able to speak with the injured man. No other details were given.
