According to the Edmonton Police Service, officers responded to a shooting near 82nd Avenue and 104th Street around 3 a.m. Investigators determined that a woman in her 20s had been shot and taken to the hospital in a private vehicle with serious injuries. EPS says he remains hospitalized in stable condition. While investigating the incident, police saw a man in his 20s shooting a gun at a group of people. “Fortunately no one was injured,” EPS said in a statement sent after 8 p.m The perpetrator in the incident was arrested and charges are pending, police said. “Police are continuing to investigate both incidents and it is not currently known if they are connected,” EPS added.
