Norfolk police officers responded around midnight to a call of shots fired in the 5000 block of Killiam Avenue, less than a mile from the campus, officials said. Two of the seven suffered “life-threatening” injuries, police said. “Many” of the victims are students at Norfolk State University across town, the school said on Twitter early Sunday morning. The school’s tweet referred to the shooting as an “isolated off-campus incident.” #NorfolkPD is currently investigating a shooting in the 5000 block of Killam Ave. 7 people have been taken to the hospital (5 with non life threatening injuries, 2 with life threatening injuries) The call came in around 12:00 am.
