“It’s definitely a very important event if not the biggest we’ve seen in years,” Blackmore said. Blackmore said the first report of a stabbing came in at 5:40 a.m. local time and within minutes received multiple calls reporting additional stabbings. Authorities have identified the two suspects as Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson and are advising the public to take appropriate precautions. The pair were believed to be traveling in a black Nissan Rogue with a Saskatchewan registration. In a message to the two suspects, Blackmore said: “If Damien and Miles hear or receive this information I would ask them to contact the police immediately.” “Our thoughts are with the many victims who died and were injured, their family, friends and community. It is appalling what happened today in our province,” he continued. Sunday’s violent incident prompted increased security at the Saskatchewan Roughriders Canadian football game, the team said in a statement posted on Twitter. “As a result, additional members of law enforcement have been deployed throughout Mosaic Stadium and the surrounding area,” the statement said. “The Club operates a central command center on match day which allows direct connection to local emergency services and the ability to receive up to the minute information when any type of emergency occurs.” This is a developing story.
